Join Hope Unexpected in showing Christ’s love in a real and tangible way by signing up to become a Christmas Family Sponsor.


The Process

  1. You will receive an email matching you with your family. This will include their contact information and a wish list with ideas. You may purchase the items requested, but you are not obligated to do so. All gifts should be NEW.
  2. Once you are matched, please reach out to your family within two days to let them know you’re their sponsor! You will also need to schedule your delivery date between December 12 & 17.
  3. The budget per individual is $50. We ask that you do not spend significantly more or less than this amount per person. (i.e. A mom with two children would have a budget of $150)
  4. Please wrap all gifts and deliver them on the agreed-upon date to the family’s home (not a relative or friend’s home) or agreed-upon public meeting place. We ask that you do not deliver the gifts alone.
  5. If you are unable to deliver the gifts between December 14 & 17, we ask that you email Info@HopeUnexpected.org to let us know ASAP. We will arrange a time for you to drop them off at our Byron Center location.
  6. You may choose to include some groceries or a hot meal alongside your gifts. This is always very appreciated by the families we serve.
  7. Please refrain from sharing your family’s address and/or contact information with others.
